Join our fun and easy-going road trip from Berlin to Prague through the picturesque towns of Litomerice, Lübben, and Moritzburg, the magnificent city of Dresden, and discover the hidden gems of Saxon Switzerland National Park. We’ll bring you to places you’d never visit in one day and help you discover the two countries in the best possible way.

Our knowledgeable local tour leaders take a small group, maximum of 8 people, for a fun-filled 10-hour road trip from Berlin to Prague (click here to book this tour the other way – from Prague to Berlin). You will learn about the history, culture, and most importantly the people of both the Czech Republic and Germany.

Start your eventful day with an optional stop at the Spreewald UNESCO biosphere reserve for wonderful lake views at Gross Köris. On the way to Dresden take a short stroll around Moritzburg Palace to admire the gorgeous view of one of the most magnificent examples of baroque-style architecture in Germany.

We’ll try some delicious local food in Dresden for lunch (not included). In Dresden take a look at the extravagant Zwinger palace, learn about Dresden Old Town and its legends. Then, get ready to be blown away by the magnificent views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Finally, before reaching Prague, take a peek into the underground wine cellars of Litomerice, also known as the Garden of Bohemia for growing delicious fruit and sweet grapes for local wine.

Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor

"Perfect way to travel"

The stops along the way were well chosen, allowing us to see more of Germany than we would have just travelling by public transport. Peter was an excellent guide, the perfect balance between informative and friendly. We made good friends with the other couple on the bus which was an added bonus. We would highly recommend Side trip.

"Excellent stops and narrative!"

What a great way to travel one way and make the most of your trip! The Saxon Switzerland stop to see amazing cliffs and the wonderful walk around Dresden were a perfect way to spend the day. Peter was a knowledgeable and personable guide!

"Best way to travel Berlin-Prague!"

We had such a fantastic trip with Jakub! My family and I booked a private, one way trip from Berlin to Prague. The trip was such a great way to see more of Germany and Czech Republic. Jakub was a fabulous guide, very knowledgeable, friendly, and we get very grateful to have him! Highly recommend Side Trip tours!

"Nice, comfortable ride with beautiful stops."

The tour was enjoyable with beautiful stops along with way. Peter was a knowledgeable guide and a safe driver. There were four of us in the van and Peter encouraged fun conversations. We ended up being good friends with the other couple and spent the most time with them in Prague. Highly recommended.
