About Regensburg
Regensburg is in a very strategic location. Here three rivers meet - the Danube, Naab, and Regen. Before modern times crossing big rivers was a complicated matter. In the 12th century a stone bridge was built across the Danube in Regensburg. This made the city even more important bringing wealth through trade. Luckily the Old Town took little damage in the Second World War and is today under UNESCO World Heritage protection.

Our guide Peter was great. Very knowledgeable and had good recommendations for food and beer. It made for a worry free trip from Prague to Nuremberg with beautiful and fun stops along the way.
Can't say enough great things about the transfer tour, Peter and the company and how accommodating they were with our last minute change to transfer us from Prague to the ship. Will definately be recommending this to friends.
What a fantastic way of getting from A to B. I would highly recommend taking the Sidetrip journey between cities. It’s far more interesting that sitting on a train, plane or direct bus.
