Great trip; highly recommend

I booked with SideTrip Tours at the recommendation of a family member who had used their service the year prior. I am so glad I chose to book a transfer with Sidetrip. The entire process was seamless. With the private tour, it is a door to door service, which was wonderful, especially with luggage. Our car was clean and comfortable and had plenty of room for 2 of us and our luggage. Our stop in Cesky Krumlov was great and gave us the opportunity to visit another town that we would not have been able to visit if it weren't for this transfer. We then continued on to our destination with again drop-off at the door of our hotel. I cannot say enough good things about our guide Petra. She was kind and fun from the moment we met her. She had a great sense of humor and we all joked with each other the entire journey. She showed us around the town of Cesky Krumlov and we had lunch with her as well. It was such a unique experience to be able to sit and chat with someone from the country we were visiting, instead of just doing the standard tourist things. She is a safe driver and we felt so comfortable with her, that we even took a short nap in the car. I am very glad we booked with Sidetrip and will definitely be using them in the future as well!

    What we'll do

During the tour we take a walk through the stunning Old Town of Český Krumlov. The narrow streets flanked by Renaissance style houses will take you back in time. The castle towering over the small town only adds to the fairytale-feel of Český Krumlov. We will also walk the grounds of the medieval castle and enjoy the views to the surrounding area from the top of the hill. The castle is famous not only for its own beauty and lovely gardens but also for bears that live in the moat. There will be time for a lunch stop in Český Krumlov (not included).

    About Český Krumlov

Český Krumlov town grows in medieval times around the castle. The castle was built on a strategic hill by the bend of the Vltava River where it controlled the fording of the river. Naturally this promoted trade and the city grew rich. The castle has been rebuilt several times through the centuries in the same location. Today you can follow the different architectural styles mixing together to form a unique complex. Until the 20th century Český Krumlov had a mostly German population. This changed after the Second World War, the German population was expelled and replaced by Czechs. Today the town has a population of 13 000 people.

Great Trip!!

This was by far one of the best things we did while in Europe. We needed to get from Prague to Salzburg and while looking for trains I found Side Trip Tours. I am so glad I did. Our driver, Petra, was amazing. She as knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She helped us turn a travel day into a sightseeing tour day. I would absolutely recommend Side Trip Tours and Petra for your next adventure.

Love, love, love!

We had such an amazing trip from Prague to Salzburg with the most amazing guide, Petra! She's such a friendly, informative and accommodating guide who went out of her way to see that we get the most out of our trip, showing us some hidden gems and still have us at the train station on time, for our trip back to Prague. Loved everything about this experience! Highly recommended. Thx!
