"Best way to transit between European cities"
It was the perfect way to kickstart my trip to Budapest! Wish I had done this for other routes Tour guide: Andrea (HU) Andrea never ran out of interesting trivia and engaging stories from Hungary's history. In my next few days in Budapest, I went on a handful of other tours in the city, and I already knew most of what would be said in the intros to Budapest & Hungary! All thanks to what Andrea had taught us during our Sidetrip tour. The hidden gem in this tour is a small synagogue and memorial in Szentendre that I would never have found if I had just gone by what TripAdvisor or travel blogs said. I truly appreciate that Andrea devoted time to discuss the history of the Jewish in Hungary, and made the effort to ensure that we got our facts straight (e.g. the location of the "Shoes on the Danube" memorial isn't actually where the atrocities being referred to happened). Driver: Tomas (HU) Tomas so kindly brought us to a view point with stunning (and crowd-free) vistas of Esztergom [which we were told not all drivers on this tour do]. He notably did this despite some unexpected traffic on the road. I felt safe the whole time during the drives, plus we made it to Budapest on schedule. Vehicle: icing on the cake :P it's superb It was clean, looked fairly new and well maintained, spacious and comfortable inside, and had seat belts for everyone.
"Great way to see some beautiful areas!"
Our tour went through Gyor, Visegrad, Esztergom, and Szentendre. All of these cities were great to visit and see, and were place we likely would never have seen otherwise - Szentendre was our favorite. Communication with the company was good, and the transport was nice and comfortable. The guide was great showing us around each city. Our only comment was that it would have been nice had the guide talked a bit more during the drives. She was very willing to answer questions, but we didn't know much about the areas of Slovakia and Hungary we drove through, so additional information on that part of the trip would have been great.
The tour was perfect, the van was very comfortable and our guide Andrea was very kind. I definitely recommend to take this tour, the places we visited are amazing, is a good way to know a little more about Hungary.
"The perfect way to travel to Budapest"
Comfortable ride, enough interesting, beautiful stops with great information on the spot by the guide. We have seen places we would normally never visit (or even find). A very recommended way the travel from Bratislava to Budapest!
"Don't just get there. Travel there."
What a great way to see choice bits of Slovakia and Hungary outside their capitals. Our well-informed guide led us on a well-organized tour.
"From Bratislava - Budapest a model way to travel"
A great way to travel from Bratislava to Budapest. Travelled in comfort and met some lovely people, and stopped off at a variety of places. We had a great guide and a great day was had by all. 10 hours went by in a flash.
"Highly recommended for Bratislava - Budapest transfer"
Our guide was fun, full of energy and extremely knowledgable as well as being a safe driver. The tour makes for a long day but it is very varied and well planned with plenty of stops. we had a couple of lovely walks as well as seeing some local towns and some offbeat attractions! I felt well looked after.
"Fab Bratislava>Budapest trip"
Great way to travel from Slovakia to Hungary. Nice small group of people, comfortable transport but above all a friendly, funny, knowledgable and caring guide. Definitely recommend it
"An excellent way to see some of Slovakia and Hungary"
Our guide was so great - nice, interesting, informative and able to answer any question she was asked, but didn't hold forth unnecessarily between stops. We had a nice small group (and I was lucky with my travel companions too) and the stops were well spaced, never too long in the minibus. Very glad I decided to do the trip and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see a bit of both countries but doesn't have much time to spare.
Perfect experience! Really learned a lot about these two country, the trip was well prepared and scheduled and the food was really impressive!
"Very good trip"
If you are going from Bratislava to Budapest this sightseeing bus is the best option to learn about Slovak and Hugarian contryside
"A travel in the time"
An incredible experience discovering the essence of two sister countries.
"Warm Farewell Slovakia & Introduction to Hungary"
This trip beats a regular bus/train ride between Bratislava and Budapest, hands down. Great trip itinerary. Our guide was fun and friendly and did a great job teaching us about her native land (nothing better than chatting with a local to learn about a country!)
"Great way of transfer from Bratislava to Budapest"
Highly recommended tour. Our transfer from one country to another became more interesting. Excellent way of transfer instead of just a boring ride in a bus. We're able to see villages and towns along our way. We appreciated more the countries and learned more about their cultures. Would definitely recommend this tour to our family and friends.
"A great way to see the countryside!"
What a treat to get to see not only the capital cities when visiting a country but to tour the countryside and stop at historic places places along the way. This is a great tour and a great company! We've done 2 tours with them and couldn't recommend it more highly!
"A good idea from Bratislava - Budapest"
I found this good idea on Trip Advisor: instead of going straigth from Bratislava to Budapest, make a relaxed trip with a mini bus and enjoy a different prospective of these two countries. Me and my daughter enjoyed this trip, it' a wonderful idea going with traveller tours between the capitals. Enjoy it!
We simply would not have been able to explore the sights independently in a short time frame so are very grateful to the company for a well organised and interesting itinerary which is quite affordable. I have a better appreciation of the struggles and challenges people have faced in the Central Europe region and really admire young people like our guide sharing his love and loyalty of his home country. It gives us such hope that the world can be a better place.
