"Fantastic tour"

We have a loving guide and a very good driver. We did enjoy the private tour which also saved us fro moving luggage.

"Nice tour- great idea!"

Andrea did a nice job, however I felt she may have talked a little too much. It could be hard to hear her sometimes. We appreciated her insight into life in Hungary, and experiences when the iron curtain fell. Gyor and Eszterhazy castle were the highlights for me. Sopron, while beautiful, was a little bit of a letdown, perhaps because we didn’t get there until 5, and it seemed to be a bit sleepy. Also, we were near the end of the day, and a bit tired. Overall, it was a great way to travel between Budapest and Vienna!

"Excellent way to transfer from Budapest to Vienna!!"

This side trip transfer was amazing. Our tour guide and driver were very knowledgeable and the towns and cities we stopped at were all very interesting. It was nice to see and learn the sights and history of the areas between the 2 large cities.

"A tour to remember!"

Our tour guide Andrea was excellent and so with our driver Thomas. Our tour from Budapest to Vienna was worth the price, at least we saw places on our way to Vienna instead of just taking the train.

"Glad we did it !"

There was only one negative and that was our bus was over booked and two customers had to find another way to Vienna. Our advice is make sure you contact and confirm your reservation a day or to ahead of your departure. Other than for that situation we were very impressed with our guide Andrea and her enthusiasm for the history of Hungary. We saw and experienced another side of Hungary outside of Budapest . Highly recommend this experience if you have the time.

"Fabulous way to get from Budapest to Vienna off the beaten path!!"

We wanted to travel from Budapest to Vienna but wanted to see more along the way than a train would have allowed. Our lovely day trip with our guide Noemi and driver Noah was the perfect solution! They were both professional and very accommodating. Noemi was well informed and happy to answer all our questions. I would recommend this trip for anyone who wants to take the road less traveled and see more along the way. It was a good value for the price!!

Meeting Point

The tour starts at Erzsebet Square (Erzsébet tér), opposite to the Hotel Ritz-Carlton, a few meters from the stop of bus no 16. Look out for a minivan with Sidetrip logo. Our guide will meet you at the marked meeting point.
