"Great tour! "

Andrea was awesome! We loved this tour and it was a highlight on our trip! We learned a lot and got to see parts of Hungary we would have never seen had we not signed up for this! Definitely recommend it.

"Take the scenic route "

A fun way to see more of Hungary and visit places you wouldn't normally do. Small group gives more flexibility.

"Good way to see smaller towns between Budapest and Vienna"

Our guide Andrea was very knowledgeable and speaks good English. Very friendly and helpful. Instead of taking a train straight from Budapest to Vienna, taking Sidetrip is a good way to look at other towns along the way. I thought it was money well spent.

"Nice Sopron visit"

My favorite place for this trip is Sopron. Unfortunately, the first bathroom stop has only 1 bathroom. We have 10 people on the bus tour and the bathroom stop was like 30 minutes. Generally, the tour is relaxing.

"What a GREAT history lesson!!!"

Naomi was very friendly and definitely knew everything about the history of many of the wars in Europe. We had a wonderful trip w/Thomas, our driver and Noemi, our tour guide. Stopped in amazing places. Tatabanya, Gyor, Fertud & Sopron. I would definitely recommend this trip. The only mishap was before the bus tour there was no confirmation the night before. It would be great if the company confirmed by cell phone text. Email confirmation is fine but with all the scam junk mail happening these days you never know if you are also being scammed. Thank you Side Trip tours for a wonderful experience in Central Europe ❤️

"Exploring the less trodden path"

This is an amazing idea we found on the internet. Instead of travelling by train/coach from point A to point B, you get the chance to explore beautiful towns/villages on the way. They provided a spacious van and the group was small (4 passengers in this trip) which made the tour relaxing. Our guide was Csenge on this trip who was absolutely amazing. She gave us a good overview of the history of the towns. We sampled local wine and food with her as well. The tour was well paced and relaxed. We reached Vienna by 7 in the evening. They are reasonably priced and we did another trip with them. Would definitely recommend.

Meeting Point

The tour starts at Erzsebet Square (Erzsébet tér), opposite to the Hotel Ritz-Carlton, a few meters from the stop of bus no 16. Look out for a minivan with Sidetrip logo. Our guide will meet you at the marked meeting point.
