Sidetrips offered a very convenient transfer from Munich to Vienna while at the same time giving us a custom tour of Salzburg and neighboring lakes and villages. Martina our driver and guide was fantastic. I would strongly recommend using Sidetrip tours for transportation and sightseeing!
Salzburg is an incredibly beautiful city in western Austria near the German border, nestled between the breathtaking Austrian Alps. Known for its stunning Baroque architecture, rich cultural heritage, and picturesque setting, Salzburg captivates visitors with its fairy-tale charm and historical significance.
The city is world-famous as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and music lovers can explore his childhood home and other landmarks celebrating his life and work. Salzburg’s architectural gems include the majestic Hohensalzburg Fortress, the elegant Mirabell Palace and Gardens, and the iconic Salzburg Cathedral, each adding to the city's historic allure.
Beyond its architectural and musical legacy, Salzburg is also a hub of culture and the arts, hosting numerous events throughout the year, including the world-renowned Salzburg Festival, a celebration of opera, classical music, and theater.
With its enchanting atmosphere, rich history, and stunning Alpine backdrop, Salzburg is a destination that effortlessly blends past and present, making it one of Austria’s most treasured cities.

Wonderful guide, wonderful tour!
The entire day exceeded our expectations. Martin picked us up on time at our hotel in Munich and dropped us off as planned at our Vienna hotel. As we drove he told us about the areas we were traveling through. We spent time exploring Salzburg along the way, and Martin was the perfect guide. I would highly recommend this tour!
A perfect sunny tour day!
We had the best time with Pavlina going from Munich to Vienna as a private group of two adults with a baby. Sidetrip double confirmed the carseat situation with us, and it worked out perfectly. We stopped in Salzburg and Durstein, and Pavlina showed us around the stops with all kinds of information. We had great conversation along the way, and a bonus was getting some photos that weren't selfies of our little family! I'm so glad we booked this and would definitely do it again.
The way to go!
So happy for the transfer to Vienna via Salzburg. Pav, our guide was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
