The city is world-famous as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and music lovers can explore his childhood home and other landmarks celebrating his life and work. Salzburg’s architectural gems include the majestic Hohensalzburg Fortress, the elegant Mirabell Palace and Gardens, and the iconic Salzburg Cathedral, each adding to the city's historic allure.
Beyond its architectural and musical legacy, Salzburg is also a hub of culture and the arts, hosting numerous events throughout the year, including the world-renowned Salzburg Festival, a celebration of opera, classical music, and theater.

It’s great to have a one way tour option like this. It meant we could see Salzburg on our way from Vienna to Munich. Levi suggested stopping at Hallstadt which was beautiful. Being from Australia our kids had never seen snow and we also found a great spot to stop and have a snowball fight on the way. It was a great day and I would recommend sidetrip to anyone.
We would highly recommend this excursion. Our driver and guide, Petra, was as excited as we were in route from Vienna to Munich with a stop in Salzburg. She drove very carefully and even picked a rest stop that had the most breathtaking view of the Alps and one of her favorites. Petra ensured that we enjoyed each and every moment while on our holiday. She joined us for lunch and by the end, we felt like we've known her for years evidenced by the huge hugs we exchanged once arriving at our hotel in Munich. And we sang oldies together all the way. LOL.
We took a tour from Vienna to Munich with a stop in Salzburg inbetween. Stephan was very easy to talk to, entertaining and made sure with whatever he chose to do we were fine with it. I would highly recommend Sidetrip than jumping on a train or taking a bus to your next destination.
