Join our fun and easy-going road trip from Prague to Vienna. We discover the story behind the Bone Church of Kutna Hora, roam the streets of Brno – Czech Republic's second largest city, visit the UNESCO-listed palaces of Valtice and Lednice, and travel through the picturesque Mikulov wine region. We’ll bring you to places you’d never be able to visit in one day and help you discover the route to Austria in the best possible way.

Our knowledgeable local tour leaders take a small group, maximum of 8 people, for a fun-filled 10-hour road trip from Prague to Vienna (click here to book this tour the other way – from Vienna to Prague). You will learn about the history, culture, and most importantly the people of Czech Republic.

Start your eventful day of exploring by taking a stroll in the pretty Old Town of Kutna Hora and learning the story behind the chilling Bone Church, decorated with 40 000 human skeletons. We arrive in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, just in time for lunch. After enjoying a refreshing meal (not included), discover the fascinating stories of the city and if you’re lucky, meet the Dragon of Brno.

In the afternoon learn about the centuries-old wine growing traditions in Mikulov area and have the pleasure of tasting the famous local wine. On your way to Vienna stop to admire one of the former summer residences of the royalty of Liechtenstein in Lednice.

There is also an alternative route from Prague to Vienna through the picturesque town of Česky Krumlov. This route is only offered as a private tour, so it does not suit for solo travellers but it's perfect for families or group of friends who prefer to visit Česky Krumlov. You can find more information from here: Prague to Vienna through Česky Krumlov sightseeing tour

"Amazing stops brought around by a charismatic guide "

Amazing tour. Jiri took us to some amazing places, was very courteous and friendly and made us all feel very comfortable throughout the ride. I would love to take another SideTrip again when I get back. But hopefully, I can have Jiri as my guide again. Thank you again!

"Prague to Vienna "

Excellent customer service. Jacob was super nice and patient. I highly recommend this tour.

At firts, I'm hesitant to avail the services of Sidetriptours as I'm travelling alone but because of the patient and so accommodating customer service (Thank you Triin 😊), I tried it and discovered that it's incredibly fun and memorable trip as I was able to look in on places which supposedly impossible if I travelled by trai, and at the same time I have this opportunity to meet and mingle people of different nationalities. Since I'm alone, I have the chance to ask them to take a photo of me as my remembrance of the places we've visited. #freephotographer 📷😉😂🤗 Actually, it's an AMAZING transfer from Prague to Vienna together with our kind tourist guide/driver named Jacob. All the side tour trippers were able to enjoy the trip as Jacob briefed us with the history, stories and some legends of the places that we've visited. We were able to visit the famous Kutna Hora underground chapel decorated with "thousands" of human skeletons and a chandelier in the center designed of human skulls/skeletons. It's creepy but a masterpiece of someone's brave soul. During the trip, you'll not get bored as you will have stop overs with the tourist spots such as the magnificient Cathedrals of Kutna Hora and Brno (and lunch within the vicinity of Freedom Square), and Mikulov Palace. In case you want to add some spice with your Europe transfers, I highly recommend you go with Sidetriptours. It's a transfer without a waste of your day. 👍 #sidetriptours #amazing #noregrets #solotraveller #grateful #satisfied #tillnextTime

"Make full use of your travel time by sightseeing along the way!"

Our guide Jiri was great. He deviated from the original plan (after getting agreement from all passengers, but I believe where he took us is still on the list of places you visit) because we traveled on Christmas Day where many places were closed. He was knowledgeable, agreeable and made the trip really pleasant. Definitely consider doing a side trip if you’re going to spend several hours anyway trying to get from one city to another. I would take another side trip when I’m there next.

"Unexpectedly Fun! Highly Recommended!"

This was not part of my original itinerary and I am so glad I found Sidetriptours. All the places we stopped over are amazing and has unique charms on each own. Our guide is very friendly and accommodating and made the group feel comfortable all throughout the day ( we could not pronounce his original name and he said we should just call him Jay). Overall a very fun experience and would gladly recommend!

"No regret side trip!"

Peter was excellent and happy to share insight. We had a wonderful time touring places that would be otherwise missed.
