Join our fun and easy-going road trip from Vienna to Prague. We travel through the picturesque towns of Telč, Mikolov, and Znojmo; and enjoy the UNESCO World Heritage listed architectural landscape of Lednice and Valtice palaces. We’ll bring you to places you’d never visit in one day and help you discover the best possible way to get from Vienna to Prague.

Our knowledgeable local tour leaders take a small group, maximum of 8 people, for a fun-filled 10-hour road trip from Vienna to Prague (click here to book this tour the other way – from Prague to Vienna). You will learn about the history, culture, and most importantly the people of the Czech Republic.

Start the day by taking a closer look at two UNESCO World Heritage palaces: Valtice and Lednice with their renowned landscape architecture. We continue on towards the luscious vineyards of Mikulov and taste some delicious wine at a local winery if you wish. This area, Moravia, is famous for its wine and its beautiful countryside.

Sit down for a meal in Znojmo and take in the picturesque views of the city with its mystical hilltop castle and medieval city walls. In the afternoon enjoy a stroll in the fairytale-like Renaissance Old Town of Telč before heading off to Prague.

"Amazing tour"

We had such an incredible day with Petr as our tour guide. He was friendly, super informative and made for an incredible day. Showing us sites we would have else missed, patiently waiting as we needed breaks, helping us navigate, conversing with locals etc. We felt like we were hanging out with a friend, not a guide. Highly recommend using SideTrip and especially Petr.

"Outstanding guide"

We traveled from Vienna to Prague. Our guide could even sort the weather do it rained only when we were in the van. An excellent day

"Great way to get from Vienna to Prague"

This is the second time my wife and I have used Side Trips with the Budapest to Vienna trip being our first. We were looking for a way to get from Vienna to Prague without wasting half the day just riding in a car, bus, or train. Side Trips was the perfect choice. We got off to a disappointing start with the guide showing up in a car instead of the website mentioned minivan. Since there was only the driver/tour guide and 3 of us they decided to switch vehicles. We just barely got all of our luggage into the back and it could have been a little more cramped if we were taller people. In our case it worked out. We made 3 stops along the way seeing less visited cities which were quaint, had nearly no tourists, and had very scenic views. The guide was very knowledgeable, a safe driver, and friendly. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely look into using Side Trips for our next city to city travel need.

"Ultimate Czech Moravian region"

Pavalina, our guide she is amazing. Very punctual and explained about the places, cultural differences and all. We really loved the experience. She gave us the route map, places to visit in Prague. Love to see you soon Pav

"Relaxing and laid back"

This was a great way to get from Vienna to Prague and avoid the tedium of a 4 hour train ride. See what the Czech Republic is like outside of the tourist magnet, Prague. Sarka, our guide, was informative, relaxed, funny, and entertaining. She was very helpful in suggesting and confirming sights and activities to do in Prague and plan our time there. Eight hours of time well spent. The small group made the experience more intimate and enjoyable. No flags or hoisted umbrellas to follow around.

Meeting Point

The tour starts in front of Cafe Mozart (Albertinaplatz 2), next to the Tourist Information Center. Look out for a minivan with Sidetrip logo. Our guide will meet you at the marked meeting point.
