We discover the hidden gems of the Hungarian countryside, stopping to see the magnificent Eszterházy Palace in Fertőd and the Pannonhalma Archabbey (entrance is optional, not included) as well as small towns of Győr and Sopron. We’ll bring you to places you’d never visit in one day and help you get from Vienna to Budapest in the best possible way.

Our knowledgeable local tour guides take a small group, maximum of 15 people, for a fun-filled 10-hour road trip from Vienna to Budapest (click here to book this tour the other way – from Budapest to Vienna). You will learn about the history, culture, and most importantly the people of Hungary.

Start the day with a stroll around the scenic little town of Sopron to admire its gothic and baroque architecture. Then we head on to the Hungarian Versailles – the luxurious rococo masterpiece belonging to the Eszterházy family with its manicured gardens. We’ll make a quick stop in Győr for lunch and admire the colourful baroque houses.

After lunch we visit the hilltop Pannonhalma Archabbey (entrance is optional, not included) where we learn about the Benedictine monks and see one of the most impressive libraries in the world. "Fantastic experience"

If you are traveling around the Europe, this is the perfect way to move from one city to another. I was so happy to see some sites outside of the capital cities. The nice thing too is that you can use the time in the van as you like; you can sleep, read, stare at the passing fields, or talk with your fellow travelers. I am happy to say that it was also a great and easy way to meet some wonderful people from other places. I highly recommend this tour.

"It is worth"

Our tour leader/driver was full on energy and enthusiasm! Can't believe she keep her energy so high for all 10 hours of the tour! Very well designed itinerary.s. Great value too.

The guides were fun and interesting, and we saw all sorts of things we never would have encountered on our own, plus learned some history. We don't usually do tours as we like a bit of adventure and independence; even if you are like us, but want a fun, interesting way to get between Vienna and Budapest, don't hesitate to take this magical mystery minibus tour. We're glad we did.
