Our Sidetrip was perfect! It got us where we needed to be with fantastic sightseeing along the way. Stepan was a great and responsive host/guide. His pride in his home country was much appreciated along with all the helpful hints and recommendations he gave us for the rest of our visit.
The best way
If you look at the train schedule, getting from Prague to Munich is 8 hours, starting at 6 AM with 3 train changes. Fun! Instead climb in a van with 4-6 new friends and a local guide. Drive and stop in 3 smaller communities that weren’t on your radar but are awesome. Get where you are going with periodic breaks to stretch, visit a new place or grab a bite. Sidetrip has a great business model.
Best Tour of our trip!
This was one of our favorite tours! The stops along the way were interesting and we were so grateful we didn’t bypass them by taking a train. Our guide, Abdul, was knowledgeable and very kind. We wished we would have booked another one way tour with them.
The best way to get to Vienna!
This was so much better than taking the train directly from Munich to Vienna. Having the opportunity to stop and see Mondsee, Melk Abbey, and Dürnstein was incredible and worth the cost! Our tour guide was great - well informed, personable, enjoyable to spend the day with. This tour is worth doing and highly recommended!
Fun and effortless travel!
Munich to Prague tour was excellent. Stepan was a great guide and driver - the stops are fantastic - fun to see the Danube and the Castle was very cool - makes for an interesting day - and then suddenly you’re at your destination. Very glad we booked with Sidetrips. - Family of 5 from Boston.

Petra was absolutely great - professional, engaging, informative and very personable. She made what should have been a typical lost travel day (Munich to Prague) into one of our favorite memories of the trip.

Best way to get around’
So much better than a train! You don’t waste a day in train stations, you see more remote towns and you are on your own schedule. If you are going between Munich and Prague ask for Fillip!
Easy transfer and great tour guide!
We decided to book Sidetrip from Munich to Prague so we could see some sights along the way. The weather was not the best, but our guide Filip made up for some rain. We appreciated how flexible he was with our timeframe and showing us his favorite places. Would highly recommend this tour.
